- Pray that God
brings you another mom who will be willing to meet with you each
week for prayer. In faith, ask a mom to meet you to pray for
your child and his/her school.
- Make a list of
prospective moms and ask them to join your prayer time.
- Follow the Moms
In Touch International (MITI) guidelines and format for prayer time.
- Make sure you are
controlled by the Holy Spirit. Trust God for answers to
prayer, focus on Him, and expect great things to happen.
- We encourage you
to order a Moms In Touch booklet. The booklet contains
important and useful information for starting a group:
- The Moms
In Touch prayer and praise format.
- Guidelines and suggestions for forming a group.
- Scriptures to pray for your children
- How to encourage school staff and administration.
- How to pray conversationally with "one accord" praying.

As
you begin:
-
Come as you are.
-
Be faithful in
meeting for one hour on a weekly basis. Make this hour a
solid commitment to pray.
-
Start and finish
on time. If some moms would care to stay longer for
fellowship and sharing, do so following the prayer time.
-
Do
not
serve refreshments. This could be a distraction for your
group and an unnecessary burden for the hostess.
-
When meeting in a
home, make a decision ahead of time as to how you will handle
the phone and doorbell during the meeting. Placing a
"Please Do Not Disturb" note on the door and
disconnecting the phone might be the answer. This prayer
time is precious and should be undisturbed.

Attention, Moms!
Here is an opportunity for you to become part of a group called Moms
In Touch International. It is a group of mothers who meet for
one hour each week to pray for their children and the schools they
attend. We know our children face much pressure at school and
to "stand in the gap" through prayer is the best gift we
can give to them. If you are interested in being part of this
praying support group, please contact [give your name and phone
number].
-
Invite
a few friends into your home to share the ministry in one of the
following ways:

-
Each
Moms In Touch group should represent only one school. This
allows
specific prayer for the needs of each school.
-
We
recommend using the Christian community to promote MITI.
Orders for booklets, brochures and video tapes from MITI
headquarters are mailed once a week. Please return the
registration card inside your MITI booklet or register your group
online by clicking here or at
the Register Your Group link on the Home Page
of this website.
(This will insure your receiving future MITI newsletters, as well as
make it
possible for us to help other moms who call us to find a group in
your
area.)

-
A Bible,
notebook and a Member Sheet (page 37 of the newly revised Moms
In Touch booklet).
-
Her own Moms In
Touch International booklet.
-
To allow another
person the privilege of caring for her preschool children during
this hour.
