Praying scripturally for our college students is the most important weapon we can wield on their behalf, "for the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword". Hebrews 4:12a.

Helpful Suggestions

• A member sheet is a valuable tool to use during the time of prayer.
  Filled-in member sheets are available at www.MomsInTouch.org, under Leaders Corner.
• During the intercession time, please consider the following:
  • Have each member choose one child to pray for that week.
  • Pray for that child’s college/university. See prayer suggestions for college/university
    plus additional prayer suggestions on our college web page
  • Divide into smaller groups of twos or threes if the size of the group allows.
• Prayer request suggestions could either come from your son or daughter, campus newspaper, college catalogue or website.
• A way to encourage a college student could be through a care package.

Instructors/professors and administrators

Consider asking your students for the names of their instructors/professors along with the President of the college, so you can specifically pray for one each week, by name.

If you are interested, pray for additional instructors/professors. Go to the web page of your child’s college/university to get their names. If they are not listed, you can pray for instructors in a more general way such as, college of business instructors, college of education instructors, etc.

If not able to get the names of the administration consider praying for President’s staff, college recruiters, Board of Regents, etc.

Consider praying for the salvation of all the students on campus

If you are interested, a way to find names is through a student campus directory or online directory. If that is unavailable pray for students in a more general way such as, college of business students, college of education students, international students, etc. or by their living situation; dorms, off-campus, Greek houses, married housing, etc.
