| Will I receive training for the work we will do? Yes, you will receive Moms in Prayer International training and evangelism training, usually by a conference phone call.
How much do these trips cost? Most trips cost about $3,000 - $3,500, some more and some less depending on airfare and cost of accommodations. In addition, sometimes you will raise funds to purchase Moms in Prayer International Booklets for the women who will come to the training.
Do you have any suggestions as to how we can raise this money? E3 Partners, the mission agency that plans these trips, has some sample support-raising letters that you can send to friends, relatives, church members, co-workers and anyone the Lord puts on your heart as a possible donor. (Click here for sample letter.)
Who is e3 Partners? The best way to answer that is to go to the website, www.e3partners.org. You can get more specific information about the ministry there.
Will I be traveling alone? Because team members come from various cities in the U.S., you may have to travel to a U.S. destination alone. This will be an airport where the rest of the team gathers before traveling to another country.
Can I talk with other women who have gone on these trips? Absolutely. We make arrangements for you to be in contact with others who have done such training by email. Then you can plan phone arrangements from there.
Do I have to do evangelism? We encourage every Moms in Prayer mom to experience the joy of leading someone to Christ after receiving thorough training in how to present the Gospel in the culture where you will be working. However, if you feel that your call is strictly to pray, we would welcome you as an intercessor on the team. You will receive help to know how that would look on a campaign.
How many people are usually on a trip? The average trip number is about 20. Of those, the usual number of Moms in Prayer women is two.
How can I teach Moms in Prayer principles if I don’t know the language of the people we train? We work with translators who know English. You will be trained in how to work with a translator. These translators are provided by e3 Partners to each team member.
If I don’t feel called to go on a trip, how can I support someone who does plan to go? You can contact Robin Clark at rclark@momsintouch.org. She will instruct you on the proper procedure for praying and/or for giving financially to support the trips.
Why is Moms in Prayer International working through e3 Partners? E3 Partners works in many of the countries where Moms in Prayer has contacts. E3 Partners has the infrastructure and the experience to equip women to go to many countries and share the gospel as well as provide a way to share the Moms in Prayer format.
How many women will we be training in the country? It could be anywhere from 20 to 500. Through this training, moms will be strengthened in their understanding of Moms in Prayer International principles and will be encouraged to teach other moms to pray in this way.
