 In June, Marlae Gritter, Moms in Prayer Executive VP, flew from a Norway conference to Sweden, for two amazing days with Swedish Moms in Prayer women.
Sweden Country Coordinator Anette Berg organized two key events. The first night, 40 women gathered to hear Marlae share about praying for their children using Scripture, testimonies of answered prayer, the power of praise and intercession, and the Four Steps of Prayer. Many women shared through tears that this was exactly what they needed to hear to give them courage to keep on praying.
Women came from different backgrounds: A Portuguese-speaking Moms in Prayer group, a potential Farsi group, Swedish- and Spanish-speaking groups. How beautiful to be one in heart with these sisters from around the world.
The second evening was very strategic for Moms in Prayer development in Sweden. Marlae and Anette met with 12 (note the number!!) women about carrying the Moms in Prayer vision throughout all of Sweden. Marlae shared how Moms in Prayer could grow in a practical way, starting with one little group in their city to hundreds of groups throughout Sweden.
The women were very touched, energized and truly caught the vision of what God could do through them. They were challenged to ask the Lord how He wanted to use each one of them. Marlae and Anette are excited to see how God will begin to raise up a team and new leadership all over this country. On God’s agenda was another opportunity where Marlae was given the honor of sharing about prayer at a Lutheran church mass that gathered each week.
Approximately 75 people attended, including tourists, as they stood in the back of this beautiful downtown Stockholm church listening to the truth of God and how he wants to use their prayers to make a difference for the generations. Marlae also prayed with a number of people at the altar. God brought deep healing, truth and encouragement to many hearts.
It’s amazing to see how God takes our availability to be used and does extraordinary things through us!

• 12 key Swedish women are trained in how to develop and take Moms in Prayer to all of Sweden.
• God touched tourists and strangers by giving them the opportunity to hear the truth being shared about prayer in the city church.
• A Farsi speaking Moms in Prayer group is beginning!
