Recently, the Lord blessed us with the opportunity to travel to Budapest to celebrate five years of Moms in Prayer in Hungary. The morning of the celebration, Kathrin shared the vision of Moms in Prayer with the leaders. After a time of prayer and silence, several women felt called as contact persons while others wanted to be a part of Lidia's Area Coordinator team. Later that afternoon, over 40 women attended the celebration where we heard incredible testimonies of how God has answered their prayers.
Many moms commented that they have to make a sacrifice to come together and pray, but that it was more than worth it. Lidia, Area Coordinator in Budapest, shared the story of how Moms in Prayer Hungary started. We were astonished and touched to see how God had orchestrated every detail, from bringing the women together to pray, to choosing the translator for the Hungary Booklet. We knew only the Lord could do this!
During break time, we had the opportunity to chat with several of the women. It was a blessing to see both younger and older moms together. Five of the women brought out a surprise. Each held a different-sized cake, ranging from smaller to larger, representing the growth of Moms in Prayer Hungary over the last five years!
After the break, Kathrin shared greetings and encouragement from many countries in Europe. She challenged the women to trust God as Abraham did, to put their faith in God's promises and see Him do powerful things with Moms in Prayer Hungary. Then we had a time of silence, asking God to place in their hearts the belief that He has great plans for their children and schools. Finally, we spent time in prayer for Moms in Prayer Hungary. It was wonderful to see the moms praying together in one accord.
The following day, we attended services at Lidia's church where we met her pastor who is very supportive of Moms in Prayer. We had time again in the evening with Lidia to share and pray and talk about next steps for Hungary. Lidia had some wonderful news following the celebration. She received several emails and phone calls from Hungarian moms, like never before. Many of the moms want to start or join groups!
We are so thankful for God's faithfulness over the last five years and are looking forward to Moms in Prayer leadership growth in Hungary.
Dicsőség Istennek! “Praise be to God!”
