Women
of Faith, Contagious Joy
Highlights
from 2006
“Thank you
for giving me the opportunity to share the joy from
Omaha. It has been an honor for me to serve in the WOF
prayer room through the MITI ministry. At these
conferences, we may look out there and see masses, but
our faithful God sees—and has the ability to reach—each
woman’s heart and longs to direct her paths—and yours
and mine. Pretty amazing to me!"
Peggie,
Cleveland, Ohio
“I felt we each were blessed as we blessed thousands
with our prayers … an unending circle of blessings!
Prayer is an integral part of each of our faith
journeys. Women of Faith’s
Prayer Room is sure to be remembered in the heart of
each volunteer and each one who came in for prayer.”
Kathy, Omaha, Nebraska
“I must
tell you that co-coordinating the prayer room for me was
a faith-building experience. There was plenty I didn’t
know, but I knew I wanted to pray. The women who came to
be prayer leaders were so easy to pray with. We enjoyed
instant fellowship because of the Holy Spirit. They were
so kind and supportive and very encouraging to me. As it
turned out, the following week I had a mammogram and
then a biopsy and now I'm seeing a breast surgeon, a
plastic surgeon and an oncologist to take care of stage
zero ductal carcinoma in situ. It is nearly 100%
curable, the best kind of cancer to get. I want you to
know that my experience of going forward with the prayer
room and how wonderful God’s presence was felt that
night seemed to prepare me for this next step of faith.
I don't feel picked on or singled out. I feel like I’m
part of the human race and part of such a loving
fellowship of believers. The body of Christ is what I’m
part of, and I am so sure of God’s love. The timing was
interesting, wasn’t it? Praise be to God who leads His
children along. He is with me and He is Good!”
Liz, Fresno, California
“We prayed
for some missionaries in South Africa who lost a
daughter to meningitis and had two other family members
in the hospital for the same thing. By Saturday
afternoon, they were on antibiotics and on the way home.
One woman I recognized praying for last year said the
daughter we had prayed for was doing much better.
We were told that 800 women received Christ on
Friday.”
Betty, Hartford, Connecticut
“Over 60 women came seeking
prayer. It was a precious, unforgettable experience to
be able to minister and be ministered to through the
women who came in need of prayer. The lives of the women
who were doing the praying will never be the same. It
was absolutely amazing the way the Holy Spirit used us
and ministered through us. I heard more than once from
different women that they felt the Holy Spirit
specifically directed them how to pray.”
Suzanne, Dallas, Texas
“A Women’s
Ministry Director from Harvest Christian Church in
southern Missouri called wanting to order 500 Prayer
Cards for her upcoming women’s event. She had received a
Prayer card at a Women of Faith conference and
loved it!”
Judy, mother of 6, grandmother of 16
“Women of Faith came to New
York's Region 10 in June and, as a result, many women
who visited the prayer room signed up to receive more
information about MITI. In fact, since June, I have
received more requests for information from women in
Region 10 than from any other region in New York state.
God is moving!”
Jill, Long Island, New
York
