Igniting a
Passion to Pray
- It’s so simple, yet so powerful
As we revel in our times of
prayer, we know that all around us are women who
need to know that deep communication and
friendship with God are possible—and that this
is His heart’s desire for them.
MITI founder, Fern Nichols, cried out to the
Lord, How can we reach more women and help
them experience the dramatic difference You make
when we pray?
One of the answers was a
simple, “Teach them.” In obedience, MITI
developed a teaching/learning curriculum that we
descriptively named, Igniting a Passion to
Pray. For seeker and teacher, God is
using this step-by-step program to communicate
timeless truths and to draw His daughters into a
place of intimacy with Himself through prayer.
ü
Moms (like you) have been
willing to step up (sometimes with fear and
trembling) and share Igniting a Passion to
Pray at their church.
ü
Churches have been receptive in
promoting and hosting the classes.
ü
Women’s prayer lives have been
forever enriched!
Reflections from a
teacher …
“I saw women achieve victory. I saw God create
in them a new heart to pray, a confidence that
their prayers matter, and a new recognition that
they do indeed serve the God who answers prayer.
Through the practical teaching, small group
sharing/praying and homework, women grew excited
about prayer as they realized that God uses
those prayers to accomplish His will. The end
result was that many desired to join a weekly
prayer group—whether it was a MITI group or a
church prayer group. I continue to run into
women from my church who tell me how powerfully
God used this six-week class to ignite their
passion to pray.”
Reflections from students …
“The power of
praying Scripture changed my attitude and my
relationship with
my family.”
“God brought me back to a closer walk.”
“Thank you for showing me how simple and
enjoyable prayer can be. You have made a lasting
impact on my prayer life!”
“This curriculum is excellent and so thorough. I
hope to use it with a group of neighbors.”
“It has equipped me to go back to my church and
lead a Bible study on prayer.”
“It has rekindled my excitement and firmed my
resolve to make prayer a priority in
my everyday
walk with God.”
