Children with Special Needs
Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street. Lamentations 2:19
Acknowledge that God’s hand was on my child(ren) in the way they were formed before
birth, according to His plan.
Admit any areas I resent in the way God made them.
Accept God’s design for them. Thank Him for their personalities and the way He
created them.
Affirm God’s purpose in creating them for His glory.
Ally myself with God in His plans for my child(ren).
My responsibility is to see my children as God sees them and to involve myself in
His plans, not mine. At times we are overwhelmed and full of self pity; but God
did not send this into our lives to hurt us, God does not do that. In His Word He
says that children are a gift from God; they are his reward. Psalm 127:3 (TLB)
