God's Presence and Beauty Displayed in Italy By Imra Volders MITI Contact Person for Italy

As the MITI Contact Person for Italy, I was incredibly blessed to see what God did through prayer as we cried out for our children and schools on November 14, 2009. I live in Trento, a picturesque city in northern Italy, which lies in the Adige valley. The name Trento refers to the three hills that border the town. The city is surrounded by mountains, situated just south of the Italian alps. God's creation is beautifully displayed in Trento with its majestic views and extraordinary architecture dating back to the 12th century. With God's grace, I have been instrumental in helping Moms In Touch grow in the northern part of Italy since 2007, while encouraging moms in southern Italy as well. On November 14, I felt the presence of God and the unity of praying together in Trento while envisioning the prayers of women all over the world. During our event, one of the moms shared a heavy burden she had for her son. He had been stricken with a very serious disease, and she was crying out for God to heal him. We all gathered around and laid hands on her as we prayed for Lukas to be healed. She was filled with peace, assured that God is sovereign and that He would answer in His timing. It was so encouraging for this mother to have women around her to lift up her son in prayer to the Great Physician.    There were also three non-believers who attended Arise! Cry Out! These women were so moved by the worship and touched by the Holy Spirit, that before the time was over they were praising God for who He is and crying out to Jesus as their Savior! This was a whole new experience for them. One of the women was a grandmother, the other a young mom and another a very quiet mom. After this event, each one of them want to be in a Moms In Touch group. The Pastor’s wife at my church was so moved by our time together that she couldn't wait to share the experience with her husband. On Sunday morning our pastor announced to the congregation that he wanted to spend more time in prayer and helping spread MITI to other churches in the area and throughout Italy!    Photo of the cliff at Tropea in Calabria, Italy, courtesy Wikepedia. In the South, several women joined for Arise! Cry Out! at a church in the Calabria region of Italy. Please pray that through this event, God will develop a MITI leader in this area and that many Moms In Touch groups will be formed to cover their children and schools in prayer. There is a lot of potential in Calabria with a population of more than two million people.   We continue to praise God for Arise! Cry Out!!  He brought 40 women to Trento and ten women to the church in Calabria. We enjoyed a beautiful time of worship while moms cried tears in light of Gods amazing and loving character. Hearts were changed as we participated in a long, silent time of confession, prayer for the blood of Jesus to cover us, wonderful testimonies of God's grace, and thanksgiving and intercession. We shouted to the enemy on behalf of our children, and in unity with women all over the world, that Jesus is the Victor!!! It was powerful and I feared nothing.
