Guatemala consists of three main regions: the cool highlands with the heaviest population, the tropical area along the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, and the tropical jungle in the northern lowlands (known as the Petén). Most of Guatemala's 13 million people live in rural areas, though urbanization is accelerating. Although 60 percent of the population speaks Spanish, the remainder speak one of 23 officially recognized Amerindian languages. More than half are descendants of indigenous Mayan peoples.
Recently, our team reached out to working moms. Out of 30 in attendance at our event, 15 were new to MITI and the Holy Spirit touched them in a very special way as we practiced the Four Steps of Prayer together. Six new groups have formed.

• For God to bring us MITI team members in the areas of resources and
communications, and to provide a sound system for our training events.
• For the plans and resources to reach out to Christian teachers next year. |
