As her sons entered the alternate universe of public junior high, one mom pleaded for God to bring her another Christian mom so they could pray together for their kids and school.
God brought her that mom in the fall of 1984. Soon, other moms were praying in groups for their own schools. Less than a year later, God picked up Fern Nichols and her family and moved them to southern California, where she again prayed for at least one mom to join her in prayer.
Little did Fern know what God had in store for her.
Twenty-four years later, the Moms In Touch International ministry continues to explode in counties and countries.
MITI’s one little booklet developed to explain the Four Steps of Prayer has now been translated into 38 languages, with MITI contacts in 120 countries. (Read more of Fern's testimony online under About Us.)
This October begins our yearlong celebration leading up to MITI’s 25th anniversary. Arise! Cry Out!, planned for Fall 2009, will be a historic event
calling Christian moms around the world to gather together to pray for
children and schools of this generation and generations to come. Stay
tuned for the details, and visit our 25th Celebration page for printable flyers
to share with your MITI group, pastor, women’s/children's ministry director, friends and relatives.

Event updates

We appreciate all your prayers for Fern’s recent speaking events: Stand Firm Hawaii, True Women 08 and the MOPS convention. God
truly answered in ways that were “immeasurably more than all we asked or imagined.”
Here’s a taste of how God has used these events.
Rachelle Nam, Hawaii State Coordinator, writes about the Stand Firm event, “Women kept coming up to me throughout the conference so thankful; many of them unable to express in words what God was doing in their hearts. Through tears, women told me:
     I experienced His healing.
Fern spoke truth into my life.
The Holy Spirit was evident the moment I arrived.
I’ve never experienced anything like this.
I was so discouraged as a mom and a wife, and now I feel like     someone brand new.
I used to feel like my prayers were insignificant–not anymore.
"
We’re excited that many moms have committed themselves to pray for their children and schools—and also to start new groups!
We are truly humbled by God's goodness.

Remember:
Moms In Touch International
is about prayer, not politics

While many of us feel strongly about the issues and candidates this political season, please remember that those discussions are not appropriate for a Moms In Touch group.

MITI Policies state: “Moms In Touch International is not a lobbying group, regardless of how worthy the cause. Participation in outside political and social issues must be done solely on an individual basis. Under no circumstances should the MITI name be used in conjunction with outside issues.”
15,000 schools
covered in prayer!

The 2008-2009 school year is well underway, and our Moms In Touch groups are back into full swing. More than 15,000 schools in the U.S. have an active MITI group.
Yet 95,000 schools, representing millions of children, are without the prayer covering of a MITI group.
Your support is crucial, and your prayers are vital to our mission of “every school covered in prayer.” Would you prayerfully consider giving a gift today to help bring the Moms In Touch International ministry to more schools?
Invest in future generations with your gift to Moms In Touch, so more moms can pray that our children will become godly leaders and fulfill the destiny God has planned for them.
