Summertime Ideas to
Keep Us Praying
Most of us would agree that the accountability of
praying in a Moms In Touch group each week during
the school year keeps us praying the rest of the
week. During the summer months, it can be difficult
to keep our prayer lives consistent and vital. Here
is one
group's solution.
At the end of last school year, one
of our leaders suggested that we choose a character
trait to pray for our children during the summer.
Some selected a virtue and a verse to pray from
31 Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Kids
by Bob Hostetler (NavPress).
What a joy to watch as God developed these
characteristics in our children's lives! I have seen
our daughter grow in "boldness."
This summer we have picked new words
and verses to pray. One of our leaders created a
beautiful bookmark with a picture of an abundant
grapevine and listed all the virtues we are praying.
We can't wait to see God's glory
revealed this coming year in our students' lives.
