Founder and President of Moms In Touch International 

Fern Nichols, President and Founder of Moms In Touch International (MITI), located in Poway, California, loves to pray.  She remembers as a young child going to Wednesday night prayer meetings where she would sit next to her mother in the pew with her legs dangling unable to reach the floor.  As she listened to the prayers of the saints, her heart was filled with peace and security.

In every circumstance, whether she was at home, or coming and going in the car, or at church, Fern's mother demonstrated that a loving God cared and was attentive to hear and answer prayers.  As a result, Fern asked Jesus into her heart as a young girl.

As a wife and mother of four children, Fern never could have imagined herself being called by God to teach, equip, mobilize, and encourage women to pray for children and schools.  She says, "Moms In Touch International is a simple ministry: encouraging moms to get together and pray for their children and schools, believing that through prayer God releases His power." God has taken it from one mom in 1984 to groups in every state in the nation and in over 110 foreign countries.  The Moms In Touch booklet is now translated into 34 languages.  It is a ministry that is greatly impacting eternity right here on earth.

Fern possesses the tenderness of a mother, the strength of a warrior and the wisdom of a seasoned teacher.  She speaks with contagious enthusiasm and passion which inspires the listener to believe God for the impossible.  She is a popular speaker at conferences and retreats, and has been a featured guest several times on many national radio and TV programs such as Focus on the Family with Dr. James Dobson and Dennis Rainey of Family Life Today.

She has authored three books:
     • Moms In Touch International - describes the purpose of MITI, the prayer format, and shares how to start an MITI 
       group.
     • Prayers From a Mom's Heart - shares thirty topical prayers to pray for your child.
     • Every Child Needs a Praying Mom - is a Silver Medallion winner.  She shares insight into the power of prayer for
       children and the impact of the legacy of prayer on future generations.

Fern and her husband Rle were married in 1968 and have four children: Tyrone, Troy, Travis, and Trisha, three daughters-in-love, Patti, Bonnie, and Tara, a son-in-love, Chris and five grandchildren.
